Melanie Bühne

I am a trained Psychologist (M.Sc.) originally from Germany. I believe that true self-love and inner balance grow through action – through small, concrete steps in everyday life, new experiences, and slowly learning to trust and accept yourself as you are. I work with the mind and body as one holistic system and my approach is integrative, drawing primarily on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness-based practices – always focusing on the client's needs. As a psychologist I work especially with entrepreneurs and with neurodivergent clients – including people with ADHD, high functioning autism, and giftedness, an area I am continuously specializing in. My focus-areas of expertise are emotional regulation, stress and attachment. During my psychology studies in Germany I worked as a mentor with children and teenagers and also gained experience working with autistic people. Over the years my path led me increasingly into the area of giftedness – teaching intelligence diagnostics to psychology bachelor students, working individually with gifted people in coaching and later therapeutic sessions, and collaborating with the Gifted Institute in Denmark. Besides my academic and practical background, I am also a trained yoga teacher with additional education in Yoga for Anxiety. I aim to continuously deepen the integration of yoga-based therapeutic and mindfulness practices for my clients. My psychology degree has been recognised by the Danish Supervisory Board and I am a member of the Danish Psychological Association (Dansk Psykologisk Forening). I am also a member of a German network of psychologists and therapists specialising in giftedness (Können-Macht-Spaß). I attend regular group supervision and individual support to ensure my ongoing professional development and maintain a safe and ethical practice. I offer online sessions in German and English. In-person sessions are possible in Østerport at SALIG, Masnedøgade 20 2100 København. Waiting time online sessions: 1 week Waiting time in person (Copenhagen office): up to 2 weeks I can't work with referrals or insurances. On summer break from 23.07-06.08.
